Top 10 Android Phones of 2020 with full Specifications

When Android was released twelve years ago, no one knew it would be used by 73.5% of mobile users compared to iOS’ 25%. A lot of innovations have emerged and we can truly be sure that Android is here to stay. Phone companies have made efforts and released new phones with amazing new features each and every year. This gives the user a hard time to choose the best amongst them. We have combined a list of the top phones according to their performance, design, popularity, and durability. The list is not definitive and is not ranked in order as each user requires something different from their phone. Some are mainly concerned with the camera, some of the memory or others may be the design. There are numerous factors that influence how to choose the right mobile phone deal for you.

1.   Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G

The most expensive phone in the S20 series. $150 less than the Galaxy Z Flip. What makes it that expensive? The phone comes with a 6.9 Inches screen with a smooth 120Hz display that is ideal for user experience and gaming. Phone photography is evolving and Samsung is pushing the boundaries. The quad-camera, one lens at 108MP with X100 Zoom is ideal for taking super high-resolution and well-detailed photos. The front camera is 40MP and good for night photos. However, the camera has a flaw in autofocus which we hope will be fixed in the next update.

The phone has a memory of 128GB internal and 12GB RAM. There’s also a version with 512GB internal and 16GB RAM. The memory can be extended up to 1TB

Security has always been a big challenge to Android devices and Samsung has come up with a solution. They have integrated a dedicated chip for security. The S3K250AF-based Secure Element security solution has achieved the Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (CC EAL) of 5+, which happens to be the highest for smartphone devices. The under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor happens not to be faster than the previous generation though with minor software improvements. Some people recommended that the phone could use Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Max Fingerprint sensor.

The phone is expected to hit the market on the 15th of March this year.

2.   Oppo Find X2

Oppo is an innovative company. They produced the first android smartphone that hid the selfie camera. The Find X2 has Ultra Vision screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, 3K QHD+ clarity, a resolution of 1440 X 3168 and 1.07 billion colors which has been certified by HDR10+ and got an A+ Grade from DisplayMate. It also has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.1% which seems to be the highest in this list. The screen is also protected with Corning Gorilla Screen 6. The Phone also comes with ways to protect your eyes against damage from light. Its AI Adaptive Eye Protection has also been certified by TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display Certification.

It has a triple rear 48MP camera with Dual LED, dual-tone, HDR and panorama view. Just like the other phones, we’ve talked about but Sony, Find X2 has an under-display fingerprint sensor.

What about its fast charging, the 4260mAh battery can be fully charged in 38 minutes via USB Power delivery. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support wireless charging. They’ve also decided to remove the 3.5mm audio jack. Is the 1000 EUR Price tag worth it?

Its rear and front camera is 12MP and 10MP respectively. The rear camera can also record a video of 2160p at 60fps while the selfie video at 30fps less.

The 3300mAh battery can last for around 11 to 12 hours and 6hours while browsing on the 4G network.

From a test ran by Zack Nelson from JerryRigEverything, a fingernail made a scratch on the Z Flip’s screen. We did a quick search and found that this: the ultra-thin glass is covered with another layer of soft plastic.

If it was not for its unique design and popularity, it couldn’t have gotten a slot on this list. The phone is good looking and recommended for people who love new technologies. If €1,480 is not a big number, then you can own this phone at any time.

6.   Motorola One 2020

Motorola came back to the game after releasing the famous Motorola Razr last year that competed well with the Galaxy Fold. This time Motorola One 2020 will be a serious competitor with OnePlus 8 series, both in price, design, and performance.

Though it is an unofficial announcement, the phone is expected to be released on 28th  March 2020

7.   Sony Xperia 1 ii (Pronounced as Sony Xperia 1 Mark II)

We think the most loyal phone customers out there are Sony customers. People were really happy with the launch of this phone and welcomed Sony back to the game. Its camera is on another level, it was made from the same technology used in Alpha Cameras. Compared to Galaxy S20 Ultra, the phone’s camera looks more natural and eye-catching. If you’re a photographer, videographer, gamer and any other person with love for great performance and quality images, then this is the phone for you.

It has a 6.5 inches 4K OLED display with a resolution of 1644 X 3840 and a color depth of 643ppi.

Sony has also upgraded the battery capacity to 4000mAh with both wireless charging, fast charging, and USP Power Delivery.

The fingerprint sensor has also been integrated on the power button as requested by most users. I hope you now understand why the phone’s worth € 1,200

8.   Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro

People call it the cheaper version of Galaxy S20. 108MP rear camera that can capture 8K video at 30fps which are then stored in its 512GB Internal storage.

With a screen refresh rate of 90Hz, 180Hz touch-sensing, HDR10+, Snapdragon 865, Adreno 650 GP and 5G network, will I be wrong when I say the phone is faster than you Corei3 Processor?

It also has an amazing 4500mAh battery with 50W fast charging, 30W fast wireless charging, and reverses wireless charging at 5W. It also has a 6.67“ Super AMOLED screen with a color depth of 386ppi. The phone was released on Valentine’s Eve this year and goes for € 660

Are you a heavy user that wants to use two screens, like hackers, and the same CPU to do day to day tasks? LG has heard your cry. Everything you need in one gadget. It has a 6.8″ screen size and a 1080 X 2460 resolution protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Has a color depth of 395ppi, HDR+ and Always-on display. Unfortunately, you won’t get the new 120Hz refresh rate like in the other phones. Its internal memory of 128GB extendable to 2TB and 8GB RAM is perfect for flawless multitasking. The application will run on Android 10.0, powered a Snapdragon 865 chipset and its graphics handled by Adreno 650 GPU with the 3.5mm audio jack still intact. There are some reviews and the customers seem not to like the product claiming that LG phones are good at power drainage.

We tried digging for its expected release date and price with no luck.

10.   ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G

The phone was announced on 6th Feb 2020. It has also checked all the wanted features and is ready to roll with the giants. With Snapdragon 865 chipset, Adreno 650 GPU, 12GB RAM and Android 10.0, you have a guaranteed fast performance. The screen size is 6.47’ AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 X 2340. The 128GB internal storage can be extended to 1TB. The MicroSD slot uses a shared sim slot.

We can’t complain about the triple rear camera. 48MP and 4K video capture at 30fps is doable. Just like the rest, it has an under-display optical fingerprint sensor and a battery capacity of 4000mAh that supports Qi wireless charging

All the listed phones are 5G enabled and with USB type C onboard. They also don’t have the 3.5mm headphone jack, a move that was named “Operation Going Jackless.” Another thing to point out, they all/will run on android 10.0 and are fingerprint enabled.

Quite a prize if you happen to own one. All the best in choosing the best for your needs.
