Former Acronis CISO brings 25+ years of experience to further advance Keyfactor's security strategy across its products and global operations
ATLANTA, Nov. 4, 2026 — Keyfactor, the leader in trust infrastructure for the AI and quantum era, today announced the appointment of Gerald Beuchelt as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Beuchelt will lead Keyfactor's enterprise-wide security strategy, governance, risk management, and compliance programs to bolster the protection of customer data, product integrity, and corporate assets as the company enters its next phase of growth.
Bringing more than 25 years of experience leading security, IT, and compliance organizations in SaaS and cloud-native companies, Beuchelt has held executive roles at Sprinklr, LogMeIn, Demandware, and Acronis. His experience includes overseeing security during Sprinklr's $4 billion IPO, integrating security teams through LogMeIn's $5 billion merger with GetGo, and supporting security due diligence for Salesforce's $3 billion acquisition of Demandware.
Keyfactor continues to build business momentum and reinforce its market position, recently surpassing $200 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), closing a $1 billion-plus growth investment led by Summit Partners, and serving more than 1,000 customers globally. As the company expands, Beuchelt's appointment strengthens the security leadership supporting its customers, products, and operations as AI, machine identity growth, and the transition to post-quantum cryptography reshape security requirements for organizations.
"Gerald's experience leading security across global organizations makes him a strong addition to the team," said Ted Shorter, Chief Technology Officer at Keyfactor. "His experience navigating growth, acquisitions, and major business transitions will help us build on our established security program as our product portfolio and global presence continue to expand."
Beuchelt will also partner closely with product and engineering teams to continue integrating security throughout the product lifecycle and oversee Keyfactor's certification, authorization, and audit programs, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, FedRAMP, and ISO 42001 for AI management systems. These programs help customers assess Keyfactor against their own security, compliance, and procurement requirements.
"I've seen firsthand how important it is for security to evolve alongside a business while remaining deeply connected to its products and operations," said Beuchelt. "Keyfactor has an established security foundation, and I'm excited to bring my experience to the team and help carry that work forward across product development, data protection, and operations."
